Our Interior Painting Process

01

Walkthrough & Consultation

We begin with a walkthrough to understand your goals, review the condition of the surfaces, and confirm what will be painted. We can also help with color and finish selection to ensure your choices look right in your home’s lighting.

02

Scheduling & Prep Planning

Once the scope is confirmed, we schedule the project and plan the workflow to keep disruption minimal. This includes room access, drying time, and a clear plan for how the work will progress from start to finish.

03

Protect the Work Area

Before painting starts, we protect floors, furniture, and nearby surfaces. Masking and coverings are used where needed to keep your home clean and ensure a controlled, professional workspace.

04

Surface Preparation

Prep work is the foundation of a great finish. We repair minor imperfections, sand rough areas, address gaps where needed, and make sure the surfaces are properly prepared so the paint applies evenly and looks smooth.

05

Prime (If Needed)

When necessary, we prime repaired areas, stained surfaces, or major color transitions. Proper priming improves adhesion, ensures consistent coverage, and helps the final color look clean and uniform.

06

Precision Painting

We apply paint with careful technique for smooth coverage and crisp lines. Multiple coats are applied as needed, and we pay close attention to detail around trim, ceilings, and high-visibility areas.

07

Detail Work & Touch-Ups

After the main painting is complete, we perform detailed touch-ups and check the work in different lighting conditions. This final refinement ensures the finish looks consistent, clean, and professionally completed.

08

Cleanup & Restore the Space

We maintain a tidy work area throughout the job and complete a full cleanup at the end. All coverings are removed carefully, the space is returned to order, and everything is left clean and ready to use.

09

Final Walkthrough

We finish with a walkthrough to confirm everything meets expectations. If anything needs adjustment, we address it promptly so you can enjoy the final results with confidence.

This was my all time best experience with painter / wood stainer ever ! Mike and his team were so patient and took time to figure out the best stain color as best approach for a very complex wood door renewal project at my home.

It’s rare these days to find a team who takes their time and does not rush - as in no short cuts. Mike stands by doing things the right way. I highly recommend , worth it !

Mike and his team are excellent. We have worked with them several times between our old and new homes. They are timely, professional and do a great job.

Mike is extremely helpful throughout the whole process from picking colors to post project cleanup. The work they have done has turned out amazing. I would recommend him without any hesitation.

Mike and his team did a fantastic job at an extremely fair price on our elderly Craftsman style house. We had Mike and his crew refinish and repaint nearly all our interior walls, ceilings and trim. The work is excellent, house looks nearly brand new and They were a pleasure to have around the house. would definitely hire again and recommend to anyone looking for a high quality large scale painting project (and more!)

Frequently Asked Questions for Interior Painting

What does interior painting include?

Interior painting includes things like bringing rooms to life by changing colors, making rooms clean with a fresh coat of paint, and making surfaces new again by getting rid old peeling paint or cracks.

Do you help with color selection?

We have an interior designer on staff to help you select colors that will keep you current with the latest trends

Is it worth hiring a professional for interior painting?

Absolutely! First, you have to think about opportunity cost here. You can spend your down time doing whatever you want while we take care of everything. All you have to do is pick the colors! More importantly though, leaving your project to the professionals is always going to lead to a better quality job. We do this every day! We know how fix problems and make things look good!

What’s the difference between flat, eggshell, and satin paint?

This is an important one! Each one of these sheens are better for different things. Flat hides imperfections better, but isn’t as washable. Eggshell is washable, but not too shiny and usually used on walls.. Semi-gloss is usually reserved for surfaces like doors and trim where a more durable coating is needed.

What are the best interior paint colors for small rooms?

The best colors for small rooms are whatever colors you like to look at! That being said, darker colors tend to make a space feel smaller than it is. So it might be best to stick to a mid-tone or light color in these areas.

What questions should I ask before hiring an interior painter?

You should always ask questions about insurance coverage. If they are using subcontractors you may want to make sure the subs have that insurance for themselves. There may be liability loopholes to deal with should any problems happen. We have employees with company vehicles and equipment. And we carry commercial auto, liability, and workers compensation insurance.

You should also ask about the level of prep work to be done before painting. Some contractors just open the can of paint and go. That’s not the best way to get a good looking end result.
